New Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever case confirmed in Duhok

The patient is a 23-year-old man from the village of Bazi in the Suran independent administration area who contracted the virus through contact with an infected animal, the ministry said in a statement. The man presented to a hospital in Duhok city after developing symptoms and was placed under medical observation, with diagnosis and treatment underway. The ministry said his condition is currently stable and that all necessary health measures have been implemented. Hospital treatment is continuing, and controls have been put in place to limit the risk of further transmission, according to the statement.
