Najaf ready for Prophet Muhammad's death anniversary commemoration

NAJAF, Iraq — The Central Nebevi Sharia Monitoring Committee said preparations are complete for a visit to the Imam Ali Shrine marking the anniversary of the death of Prophet Muhammad, calling on devotees to travel to Najaf to take part in the commemorations. The committee said it is maintaining close, ongoing coordination with security agencies and working directly with service teams along the designated routes. Planned operations cover security, food and beverage services, transportation, medical care and guidance for visitors. Six subcommittees have been formed to handle security, media, services, logistics and transportation, health, and general guidance. The committee also stressed that banners and slogans carried during the visit should remain consistent with the spirit of mourning and condolence.
