Nafit Extends Contract of Head Coach Adil Nima for One Season

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Baghdad-based Nafit Club has extended the contract of head coach Adil Nima for another season, the club announced. Club officials cited the team's performance during the 2025-2026 season as the reason for the decision. The statement noted that Nima built a cohesive squad and showed a notable progression throughout the campaign. Nima said the club's decision aims to maintain technical stability within the team. Nima said the club's management gave him broad authority to strengthen the squad and assess the team's needs. He added that the goal for the upcoming season is to achieve better results and compete strongly across all competitions. Nafit finished 11th in the Iraqi Stars League last season with 48 points.
