Kuwait says 1 foreign national killed, 63 wounded in Iranian attack

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Kuwait’s Health Ministry said 63 people were wounded in an Iranian attack, including civilians, Kuwait International Airport workers and some passengers. The military said it detected and neutralized 13 ballistic missiles and 17 drones directed at the country. The army said one Indian national was killed in the attacks, and that some locations suffered serious material damage. Civil defense teams responded to nine reports involving debris that fell after the missiles and drones were intercepted. The Health Ministry activated emergency plans for possible effects and raised the alert level at all hospitals and health facilities. Kuwait condemned the attacks, which it said hit civilian targets, and said an emergency plan was also put in place for the airport terminal building.
