Kuwait says power transmission lines knocked offline by shrapnel from regional strikes

The ministry said in a statement that the outage did not affect the continuity of its services. Emergency response teams, coordinating with security authorities, began damage assessment and repair work, according to the ministry. The Kuwaiti army had earlier announced that missile and drone attacks were intercepted amid rising regional tensions following reciprocal strikes between the United States and Iran on Wednesday morning. Bahrain's Interior Ministry also said its air defenses had stopped what it described as Iranian-origin attacks and activated sirens, urging citizens and residents to move to the nearest safe area.
