Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad to discuss relations between the federal government and the regional administration. Barzani stated that solutions to outstanding issues must be found within the framework of the constitution and the federal system.
Al-Sudani emphasized the shared responsibility of all Iraqis to overcome political and administrative challenges. The two leaders reviewed technical and economic files, including the management of border crossings, the implementation of the ASYCUDA customs system, and the operations of oil companies in the Kurdistan Region.
Barzani also held meetings with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament. These discussions focused on current political developments and the role of constitutional institutions.
