Gold prices remained steady in Baghdad on the fourth day of Eid al-Adha, while markets in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, recorded a decline.
In Baghdad, 21-karat gold traded between 990,000 and 1 million Iraqi dinars per mithqal. Local Iraqi gold was priced between 960,000 and 970,000 dinars.
Erbil markets saw 22-karat gold selling for approximately 1,021,000 dinars. Meanwhile, 21-karat gold reached 975,000 dinars, and 18-karat gold was priced at 835,000 dinars.
Local jewelers determine domestic gold valuations based on fluctuations in international ounce prices and the prevailing exchange rate of the U.S. dollar.
