Kurdistan Region PM Barzani arrives in Abu Dhabi for official visit

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday for an official visit. According to Kurdish government sources, Barzani is scheduled to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the trip. The meeting is expected to focus on bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the Gulf state. Barzani's agenda also includes separate meetings with other Emirati officials in Abu Dhabi, in addition to his formal engagements. Kurdish officials said the visit is intended to strengthen economic and political ties between the Kurdistan Region and Gulf countries. Barzani has recently held talks with several countries on regional stability and energy issues, according to the same sources.
