Kurdistan Region forecasts drop in temperatures from Monday

ERBIL, Iraq โ The Kurdistan Region's Directorate of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring said temperatures across the region will decline noticeably from Monday, with localized rainfall expected in some areas.
According to the directorate, wind activity will increase on Sunday across the administrations of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja and Garmian. Winds will blow from the northeast at 15โ20 km/h, occasionally exceeding 25 km/h, with visibility ranging between 8 and 9 kilometers and temperatures falling 1โ2 degrees from the previous day.
Sunday's highest recorded temperatures were 40ยฐC in Erbil, 42ยฐC in Halabja, 44ยฐC in Garmian and 28ยฐC in Haji Omaran. On Monday, conditions are expected to turn partly cloudy as a moderate air mass brings temperatures down a further 3โ5 degrees, with winds of 10โ20 km/h and visibility of 9โ10 km. Forecast highs for Monday were given as 37ยฐC in Erbil, 38ยฐC in Halabja, 42ยฐC in Garmian and 26ยฐC in Haji Omaran.
