Kurdistan Investment Board Announces New Wheat Sales Mechanism

ERBIL, Iraq — The Kurdistan Region Investment Board has announced a new regulation for wheat producers, following approval from the Council of Ministers and a decree dated June 14, 2026. The mechanism introduces a designated group of companies and traders authorized to purchase wheat from producers for the current season. These approved entities are permitted to export the purchased wheat through the region's border crossings. To coordinate the delivery process, the Board has instructed producers to apply to the General Directorates of Agriculture within their respective provinces and independent administrations. A detailed list containing the names, addresses, and contact numbers of the approved companies and traders has been published by province to facilitate direct communication between producers and buyers.
