Joint Coordination Committee inspects Rashad subdistrict in Kirkuk

KIRKUK, Iraq — The Joint Coordination Committee conducted a field inspection in the Rashad subdistrict in southwestern Kirkuk to assess local needs and review services, the subdistrict's director, Mawfuk Nuri, said on Monday. The visit focused on supporting the return of displaced families and addressing a water shortage affecting the area and surrounding villages, according to Nuri. The meeting was attended by Kirkuk Deputy Governor and Committee Co-Chair Israa al-Musawi, Kirkuk Labor Department Director Taha Khalil, Kirkuk Youth and Sports Director Adel Awad, and officials from the Social Protection Department. Participants also reviewed healthcare needs and listened to residents' demands, Nuri said. Nuri added that the Kirkuk provincial administration is directly monitoring the issues raised and working on practical solutions to reverse displacement. He said recommendations from the meeting will be followed up with the relevant agencies to improve services and strengthen social stability.
