Iraqi PM Orders Support After Traffic Accident in Dhi Qar

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih ez-Zeydi instructed relevant ministers and governors on Monday to visit those injured and the families of those killed in a traffic accident in Zikar city, Dhi Qar province. The accident occurred Sunday, according to the Prime Minister's Press Office. Zeydi ordered officials to monitor the condition of the injured and ensure families receive all necessary support. Zeydi also chaired the second regular session of the 2026 Inter-Cities Supreme Coordination Council the same day. The council discussed strengthening coordination between local administrations and improving public services in cities. Officials said the injured are receiving treatment at relevant medical facilities and that support is being provided to the families.
