BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi Oil Pipelines Company has rejected reports that its Director General Ali Abdulkerim al-Musawi was detained, calling the claims entirely unfounded. In a written statement, the company said al-Musawi remains in his official post and continues to oversee its daily operations without change.
The company said the allegations circulating on electronic platforms and social media are not based on official sources or verified information. It urged media outlets and social media users to adhere to principles of accuracy and responsibility when publishing news and to disregard unverified claims.
The statement added that relying on official announcements from the relevant authorities would help prevent the spread of misleading information. The company warned that unconfirmed reports could mislead the public and called for caution regarding information from channels outside official sources.
