Iraq's meteorological authority warns of dust storm in southern provinces

The agency warned that the winds will stir up dense dust clouds over desert areas and outer roads. In a written statement, the authority said the dust storm is expected to affect the Dhi Qar-Samawah route and the international road west of Basra, areas where desertification has continued for years. Officials urged drivers to exercise caution on those routes. The agency also said dust density could rise intermittently throughout the day, reducing visibility on outer roads and potentially disrupting travel. No further operational details were provided.
