The Iraqi Meteorological Authority has announced a four-day period of fluctuating temperatures and localized weather shifts across the country. Northern regions are expected to experience light rain and showers on Friday as cloud cover spreads across most of the nation.
Northwesterly winds are forecast to trigger dust storms in several regions, contributing to a temporary decline in temperatures. By the weekend, skies are expected to clear across most of the country, with the exception of the southern provinces.
Temperatures are projected to rise slightly in the northern and central regions as sunny conditions return. The meteorological data indicates a significant regional variance in heat, with Dhi Qar reaching a high of 48 degrees Celsius.
Conversely, Sulaymaniyah is expected to record the lowest temperatures in the country, with a peak of 35 degrees Celsius.
