Iraq's six-month revenue reaches 35.9 trillion dinars, oil share near 80%

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Ministry of Finance reported that total government revenue reached 35.946 trillion dinars through the end of June, with oil income accounting for 28.433 trillion dinars, or roughly 80% of the total. Non-oil revenue stood at 7.513 trillion dinars over the same period.
Public spending climbed to 54.673 trillion dinars, according to the ministry's figures. Current expenditures totaled 50.592 trillion dinars, debt servicing reached 3.992 trillion dinars, and capital spending amounted to 15.972 billion dinars. Personnel salaries made up the largest spending category at 30.769 trillion dinars, followed by social welfare payments of 13.858 trillion dinars and other transfers of 4.150 trillion dinars.
Investment budget outlays reached 2.513 trillion dinars, of which 1.634 trillion dinars went to the investment program, 758.9 billion dinars to regional development and 86.7 billion dinars to petrodollar projects. By sector, construction and services led spending at 1.188 trillion dinars, followed by industry at 869.8 billion dinars, transport and communications at 332.9 billion dinars, education at 105.5 billion dinars and agriculture at 16.8 billion dinars.
The data showed that expenditures exceeded revenue by about 18.727 trillion dinars, widening the gap between state resources and public spending.
