Iraqi FA Sets Date and Venue for Super League Promotion Play-off

The Iraq Football Association (IFA) has scheduled a promotion play-off match between third-place Hudud and fourth-place Karbala for Saturday, May 30, at 7:00 PM. The match will take place at the Captain Shammar Haydar Stadium in Baghdad. The winner of the encounter will secure third-place promotion to the 2025-2026 Super League. This team will then advance to a final match against the club that finishes 18th in the Iraq Stars League. Due to the close point margins among teams at the bottom of the standings, the specific opponent from the Iraq Stars League has not yet been determined. A technical meeting for the play-off is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, at 2:30 PM. Separately, the IFA confirmed that Culan from Anbar and Kuzey Gaz from Kirkuk have officially earned promotion to the Iraq Stars League for the 2026-2027 season.
