Iraqi consul says millions of Iraqis expected at Khamenei funeral in Iran

Saadoun al-Saadi, Iraq's consul general in Iran's Kermanshah province, said on Wednesday that millions of Iraqis are expected to attend the funeral ceremony of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Al-Saadi said Iraqis from different sectors are ready to take part in the funeral and that preparations are underway to facilitate their movement through border crossings. He added that arrangements are in place to ensure the ceremony is conducted in an orderly manner. According to the consul, additional measures are being introduced at border crossings to ease the flow of participants, with travel being coordinated through official channels. The consulate is running a separate coordination effort dedicated to the ceremony, al-Saadi said, without providing further details on the timing of the events or the specific border crossings involved.
