BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi Border Ports Authority announced that more than 18,000 pilgrims crossed successfully through the Arar border crossing. According to the authority, 18,746 pilgrims were processed along with approximately 600 medical and administrative staff and service personnel returning through the same route.
The authority's president, Lieutenant General Omar Adnan al-Waili, was present at the crossing from the first day of operations to oversee the reception and dispatch of pilgrims. Crossing procedures continued uninterrupted for four days, with officials reporting no disruptions or delays.
The outcome was attributed to coordination and integrated work among various institutions. Al-Waili said the authority would continue raising service quality at all border crossings.
