White House: Trump has not yet discussed nuclear deal condition with Saudi leaders

WASHINGTON, United States — WASHINGTON — The White House said President Donald Trump has not yet held talks with Saudi Arabian leaders over the conditions for completing a nuclear energy agreement with the kingdom. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump remains involved in the process of signing the deals and described the Abraham Accords as a matter of significant personal interest to the president. Leavitt added that Washington will continue negotiations with Saudi counterparts on an agreement that would include recognition of Israel. The remarks followed a social media post by Trump on Thursday stating that entry into force of the nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia is contingent on Riyadh joining the Abraham Accords.
