Iraq Stock Exchange records 4 billion dinar in weekly share trades

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraq Stock Exchange said shares traded on the bourse last week had a total value of more than 4 billion dinars. Of 103 listed companies, 57 saw shares traded, 35 recorded no matched buy or sell orders, and 11 remained outside trading because they had not yet submitted required disclosures, the exchange said in a weekly report.
A total of 2.699 billion shares changed hands during the week, a 96 percent decline from the previous week, according to the report. Trading volume reached 4.390 billion dinars across 6,278 transactions, and the ISX60 index closed at 954.14 points, up 0.37 percent from the prior session.
Non-Iraqi investors bought 456,000 shares and sold 15 million shares over the week, the exchange said. The market operates five sessions, from Sunday to Thursday, and lists 104 Iraqi joint-stock companies across banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism and services.
