Iraq’s national team will travel with a full squad as it begins its Spain and United States training camp, with delegation chief Ari Kemal saying all players are ready and that performance is expected to be different during the preparation period. The team is scheduled to leave for Girona, Spain, on the 29th, then move to La Coruña after the match against Andorra to prepare for the game against Spain.
Kemal said the camp will continue in the United States, where Iraq aims to play a friendly against Venezuela. He said the players’ accommodation, transportation, facilities and pitch arrangements have all been completed, and the program is proceeding as planned.
Decision Not to include Karar Nabil in the Spain camp was attributed to a stomach ailment and a Canada visa issue. The Iraqi Football Association President Yunus Mahmud has given the technical staff full authority over squad selection.
Kemal added that all needs of the delegation have been met, underscoring that the training schedule and logistics are in place ahead of the international friendlies.
