Iraq Says Gulf Security Is an Extension of National and Arab Security

Iraq’s Foreign Ministry congratulated the Gulf states on the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Gulf Cooperation Council, saying their security and stability are an integral part of the Arab national security system. It said Iraq views Gulf security as an extension of its own national and regional security. In a statement, the ministry said it will continue to strengthen relations with the Gulf countries and expand joint cooperation. It said this approach reflects Iraq’s commitment to closer ties with its neighbors. The ministry also underlined the importance of mutual cooperation to support regional stability and achieve shared development. It said such cooperation remains essential for safeguarding common interests across the region.
