BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's Oil Pipelines Company has rejected reports that its director general, Ali Abdulkerim al-Musawi, was detained, calling the claims entirely unfounded. In a written statement, the company said al-Musawi remains in his official position and continues to carry out his duties without change. The company said the reports circulating on some electronic platforms and social media are not based on official sources or verified information. It urged media outlets and social media users to observe principles of accuracy and responsibility when publishing news and to disregard unsubstantiated claims. The statement also called on the public to rely on official communications from the relevant authorities, noting that doing so would help prevent the spread of misleading information. The company added that unverified reports could mislead public opinion and warned against trusting information from channels outside official sources.
