BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Ministry of Finance reported that total fiscal revenue for January through April reached 31.16 trillion Iraqi dinars, or about $23.6 billion, according to ministry data. Oil sales accounted for 26.12 trillion dinars (approximately $19.9 billion), while non-oil revenue stood at 5.04 trillion dinars, around $3.84 billion. Actual federal budget spending through the end of April totaled 37.83 trillion dinars, or roughly $28.8 billion, the ministry said. Of that figure, 36.44 trillion dinars (about $27.8 billion) went to current expenditures and 1.391 trillion dinars (around $1.06 billion) to capital expenditures. The finance ministry had previously said in March that fiscal revenue for January and February of 2026 exceeded 15 trillion dinars, approximately $11.45 billion. Iraq's federal budget remains heavily dependent on oil income, leaving state finances directly exposed to fluctuations in global crude prices.
