BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdulhussein al-Musawi, has authorized universities and colleges to re-evaluate postgraduate admission results, the government's Press and Communications Office said in a statement.
Under the decision, candidates who scored between 40 and 44 on the competitive entrance examination may receive up to five additional points. The adjustment applies only to unfilled seats within already approved admissions plans, and placements will be determined according to the highest differential rate among eligible applicants.
The ministry ordered that the review and placement process be completed at all educational institutions within three days of the notification date. Institutions were also instructed to issue university decrees confirming the admissions immediately after the process concludes.
No further details on the number of affected candidates or institutions were immediately available.
