BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Oil Products Distribution Company reported that domestic gasoline sales reached 78 billion liters in July 2026, according to the company's monthly fuel distribution figures.
The same data showed white petroleum sales of 35 million liters during the month, while diesel and gas oil derivatives totaled 528 billion liters. Fuel oil sales stood at 408 billion liters, with jet fuel sales exceeding 13 million liters.
The company said the figures cover petroleum products sold through fuel stations and distribution channels across the domestic market and are part of its regular monthly reporting on local fuel volumes. The release did not specify whether the figures reflect official sales, distributed quantities, or a combination of both.
Higher gasoline consumption during the summer months aligns with increased passenger and vehicle travel, the data suggests, though the company did not provide a direct comparative figure for June or the same period last year.
