BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's total revenue reached 35.946 trillion dinars by the end of June under the federal budget, the Iraqi Ministry of Finance said, with oil revenues accounting for 28.433 trillion dinars and non-oil revenues for 7.513 trillion dinars. The data showed oil's share of total resources fell to 80%, while non-oil income stood at roughly 20%. Total expenditures over the same period climbed to 54.673 trillion dinars, including 50.592 trillion in current spending and 3.992 trillion in debt service. Personnel salaries and payments topped the spending categories at 30.769 trillion dinars, followed by 13.858 trillion in social welfare and 4.150 trillion in grants, subsidies and other expenses. Capital spending stood at 2.513 trillion dinars, with the buildings and services sector taking the largest share at 1.188 trillion dinars, followed by industry, transport and education. The ministry figures showed that expenditures exceeded revenue by 18.727 trillion dinars, leaving the budget in deficit.
