BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's total revenues reached 31.163 trillion dinar through the end of April 2026, while expenditures hit 37.835 trillion dinar, according to federal budget data from the Ministry of Finance's accounting department. Oil revenues accounted for 26.121 trillion dinar, or 84% of the total, with non-oil revenues contributing 5.041 trillion dinar, or 16%. The ministry's report showed current spending of 36.444 trillion dinar and investment spending of 1.391 trillion dinar. Personnel payments made up the largest share of current spending at 20.484 trillion dinar, followed by social welfare transfers at 9.233 trillion dinar. Debt servicing was allocated 2.868 trillion dinar, while grants, subsidies and other expenses received 2.625 trillion dinar and goods purchases 1.074 trillion dinar. The figures highlight the federal budget's continued reliance on oil revenue to fund government operations.
