BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi National Olympic Committee has announced the formation of an interim administrative body for Mina Sports Club in Basra, based on an August 18, 2026 ruling (No. 11/S/2026) by the Iraqi Sports Arbitration and Reconciliation Center. The committee said the decision annulled an earlier administrative order, dated May 25, 2026 (No. 812/A), that had dissolved the club's administration. That order had originated from the committee's executive board meeting on February 11, 2025.
The committee said the action was taken under Article 14/a of the Sports Clubs Law No. 18 of 1986, as amended. Under the arrangement, the interim body will manage the club's day-to-day operations and complete preparations for elections to select a new administration within no more than three months.
