Iraq names Ali Faysal al-Tamimi new Diyala land registry director

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Justice Ministry has appointed Ali Faysal Muashar al-Tamimi as the new director of the Land Registry Directorate in Diyala province, according to a ministry document. The appointment, issued under Justice Minister Ali Nibhan al-Zubaidi, replaces the previous director, whose removal was formalized by the same ministry order. The ministry said the change was carried out as part of standard administrative procedures for the management of the Diyala land registry office. It did not specify when the appointment took effect. Earlier, Justice Minister Khalid Shawani removed al-Zubaidi from the Diyala directorate post on July 19 and established an investigation committee over allegations that official files were taken from the office and used externally through intermediaries.
