BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Media and Communications Commission said Starlink has no authorized distributor in the country and that anyone claiming to represent the satellite internet service will face legal action. In a written statement, the regulator said false claims of representation were misleading consumers seeking satellite internet service.
The commission said any announcements of authorized dealerships or sellers would be made only through official channels once the necessary procedures and requirements are completed. It urged consumers and public institutions not to engage with any party claiming to represent Starlink or sell its products officially.
The regulator added that verified dealership information would be available only through its own official channels and those of the company. No further details on the legal process or any specific individuals accused of misrepresentation were immediately available.
