BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraq's Interior Ministry has initiated legal proceedings against two social media content creators known online as "Arjuwan" and "Oskar," the ministry's Obscene Content Commission said. The commission found that the individuals had posted videos and live streams deemed to violate public morals and social values, according to security sources. Following a review of the material, the case file was referred to the relevant judicial authority for legal action, the sources said. An unnamed security source confirmed that proceedings would be carried out under current laws and that any penalty handed down would be enforced. The Obscene Content Commission is part of the Interior Ministry and is tasked with monitoring material deemed offensive. It said it would continue regular inspections of social media platforms as part of efforts to curb the dissemination of such content. No further details on the case were immediately available.
