The Iraq Hunting Club said activist Sanaa Tut does not represent the organization in any official capacity and is not a member of its board, distancing itself from her public statements. The club said her remarks are personal views and do not reflect its position. In a statement, the club said Tut is only a member, like more than 15,000 families affiliated with the institution, and has no formal mandate to speak on its behalf. It stressed that she does not hold any administrative role within the group. The club also recalled that Tut resigned from the board about a year and a half ago. It said the opinions she has expressed through the media do not bind the organization. Club management said it has no connection to the statements that have circulated publicly under Tutโ€™s name and insisted that the institution should not be associated with them.
