BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Meteorological Department said temperatures across the country will climb over the coming days before easing on Sunday. According to the department's forecast, Thursday will be clear and hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds across central and northern areas. Friday is expected to bring similar conditions nationwide, with temperatures close to those recorded the previous day.
Saturday is forecast to be slightly hotter across Iraq, with a small increase in daytime highs. On Sunday, central regions are expected to see a modest dip in temperature, while the north and south will record values close to Saturday's readings.
The department said the highest temperatures on Thursday will range between 41 and 50 degrees Celsius. Authorities urged residents, particularly in areas affected by high heat, to take precautions.
