Iraq Begins June 2026 Pension Payments for Civilian and Military Retirees

Iraq’s National Retirement Authority said it began gradually disbursing the June 2026 salaries of civilian and military retirees this afternoon, as the government accelerated payments ahead of Eid al-Adha. The move is aimed at ensuring pension entitlements are delivered before the holiday period. Rafidain Bank also announced that pension distribution has shifted to electronic payment tools. The change is part of the wider disbursement process now under way for retirees across the country. The Finance Ministry worked on Friday and Saturday to enable the salaries to be paid. The extra work came as authorities sought to complete payments on time before the holiday. The Labour Ministry also activated salaries for insured worker retirees, expanding the payment rollout beyond civil and military pensioners.
