BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq ranked as Turkey's fourth-largest export destination in July, with $1.113 billion in Turkish shipments, according to official data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TรฤฐK).
Germany led Turkish exports that month with $2.042 billion, followed by the United States at $1.683 billion and the United Kingdom at $1.349 billion. Italy rounded out the top five with $1.110 billion in imports from Turkey. Together, the five largest markets accounted for roughly 28.5% of Turkey's total exports in July.
Turkey's total exports in July rose 2.9% year-on-year to $25.623 billion, while imports climbed 5.1% to $32.966 billion. The resulting foreign trade gap widened 13.6% to $7.343 billion.
In the first seven months of the year, Turkish exports increased 3.4% to $161.539 billion, and imports rose 4.7% to $222.085 billion.
