Iraq adopts digital platform for central university admissions for 2026-2027

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has introduced a digital system for central university placement for the 2026-2027 academic year, directing students to apply only through its approved online platform. In a written statement, the ministry warned high school graduates against filling out printed or online forms circulated by some universities and private colleges to reserve enrollment slots. It said all applications must be submitted exclusively through the "Kaddem" platform. The ministry said any procedures or forms completed outside the platform will not be considered part of the approved admissions process and will carry no legal or administrative weight. Application, evaluation and acceptance procedures will be handled centrally under rules set by the ministry, with outcomes based on the data students enter into the platform. The ministry urged students and their families to rely solely on official sources for information on the admissions process and to disregard announcements issued outside the platform.
