Iranian President Invites Iraqi President to Tehran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended a formal invitation to Iraqi President Nizar Amidi to visit Tehran during a recent telephone conversation. The call took place as the Eid al-Adha holiday began. Both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, noting that expanding political, economic, and commercial ties serves their shared strategic interests. They expressed mutual hopes for the progress, prosperity, and stability of the Iraqi and Iranian populations. During the discussion, the two presidents emphasized the need to reduce regional tensions in the Middle East. They also called for resolving ongoing conflicts through diplomacy and strengthening unity and solidarity within the Islamic world.
