Iranian Commander Qaani Praises Yemen Operations, Warns of Wider Resistance

TEHRAN, Iran — TEHRAN — Ismail Qaani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, praised Yemen's military operations against Israel and said other regional groups would join the fight if needed. Qaani said a new resistance belt would form stretching from Houthi positions in Bab-el-Mandeb to the Gulf of Basra and the Red Sea. He stated that Israel's and the United States' regional aggression would face a unified resistance front, delivering the message: "Warriors are unlimited, your passages are now under surveillance." U.S. President Donald Trump warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he would leave Israel isolated if it escalates tensions with Iran, according to Israeli media reports. Israeli media, citing a senior Israeli official, reported that the military would halt strikes on Iran but continue operations in South Lebanon. Israeli official radio warned that if Hezbollah continues targeting Israeli settlements, it would strike targets across Lebanon. Iran's Hatem al-Enbiya headquarters announced military operations against Israel have stopped, but warned that if aggression in South Lebanon continues, Tehran's response would be harsher.
