TEHRAN, Iran โ€” Iran's Foreign Ministry said recent US strikes have voided a war-ending agreement, declaring Tehran's right to respond is reserved. In a statement, the ministry said the strikes violated the first article of the accord and were compounded by the US Treasury Department's decision to revoke Iran's oil sales license, with separate rules governing the Strait of Hormuz also breached. The ministry pointed to Israel's continuing attacks on Lebanon and said the core provisions of the agreement have become inoperative. It placed the responsibility for any escalation on Washington and called on all countries, particularly states on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf, to prevent the use of their territory for strikes against Iran. Iran added that any country participating in such attacks would be considered complicit. US Central Command said new operations were carried out against Iran in the early hours of Wednesday, with more than 80 targets struck, including over 60 fast boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guards around the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guards said it retaliated with ballistic missiles and drones against 85 US facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait.
