Iran's Araghchi urges regional states not to let US use their territory against Iran

TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on regional countries to uphold good neighborly relations and prevent their territories from being used by the United States for attacks against Iran, during a meeting in Tehran with his Qatari counterpart. Araghchi said the current situation stems from continued US and Israeli military aggression and what he described as unlawful US measures toward Iran. He stressed that regional states should not allow their territory or capabilities to be used in preparing or carrying out attacks against Iran, or in waging economic warfare against the country. The Iranian foreign minister said that any discussion of returning to the pre-attack situation must take into account the losses Iran has suffered and existing realities. He added that Iran will resolutely pursue its national interests and security and use all of its capacity to defend its sovereignty and interests.
