Iran Ground Forces Commander Vows Response to Any Threat

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran's Ground Forces Commander Major General Ali JahanShahi said his forces are at the highest level of combat readiness, according to comments reported by the Tasnim news agency. "Our finger is on the trigger, ready to pull," JahanShahi said, adding that the army is prepared to deliver a decisive response to any potential threats. The commander stated that ground units are in full operational readiness and will defend the country to the end. He emphasized that military units are kept on alert for all possible scenarios. Iran has repeatedly raised its defense posture in recent months amid heightened regional tensions. The Tehran government continues to stress the deterrent capabilities of its armed forces.
