ADEN โ€” Yemen's Houthi group said it carried out a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco refinery in the Jazan region of southern Saudi Arabia, using two unmanned aerial vehicles. The group's armed forces announced the operation through its affiliated SABA news agency, stating that two drones targeted the Aramco facility in Jazan. A Houthi military source said the strike was carried out in retaliation for what the group described as violations of Yemeni airspace over Sanaa and Hajah by Saudi aircraft. The source added that Yemen's armed forces would continue to respond to sovereignty violations. The Jazan facility was temporarily shut down at the end of last month following earlier attacks, with damage reported at a refinery that has a daily capacity of 400,000 barrels. The Houthis had also launched a drone attack on the same site a few days earlier. Egypt, the Arab Parliament and several other Arab states condemned the recent strikes, rejecting any violation of Arab states' security and calling for measures to prevent further escalation in the region. No immediate confirmation or casualty figures were provided by Saudi authorities.
