Georgina Rodríguez, the wife of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, has legally adopted the footballer's three eldest children, Cristiano Junior and twins Eva Maria and Mateo, following their recent marriage. The adoption formalizes a family arrangement Rodríguez had been part of since the start of her relationship with Ronaldo more than a decade ago. Spanish magazine Hola reported that Rodríguez completed the legal process to become the children's legal mother, giving her full parental rights and responsibilities. Portuguese media described the procedure as a private adoption, noting it followed years of Rodríguez's active involvement in raising the children. The decision did not come as a surprise within the family, as Rodríguez had taken a central caregiving role in the children's upbringing from the beginning of her relationship with the player. The children were born before the couple met when Ronaldo was working in Madrid, and Rodríguez began dating the footballer after a chance encounter at a Gucci store in the Spanish capital around 2016. Ronaldo and Rodríguez married on 11 August 2026 in a private family ceremony at their home in Portugal, according to earlier reports.
