Four teams advance to semifinals of Iraqi Women's Basketball League

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The quarterfinal round of the Iraqi Women's Basketball League concluded Wednesday with matches played at the Northern Technical University hall in Mosul. Afrodit, Peshmerge, Akad Ainkawa and Sabis advanced to the semifinals, completing the final four of the tournament. In one of the standout quarterfinals, Afrodit edged Kirkuk representative Al-Sevra 43-38. Akad Ainkawa delivered a one-sided result, defeating Al-Salih 63-16. Peshmerge booked its semifinal place with a 74-34 victory over Dêrbendîxan, while Sabis closed the day's program by beating the Mosul side 81-32.
