TEHRAN, Iran — TEHRAN — Flydubai and Air Arabia have resumed flights through Iranian airspace following approval from Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, the regulator said. The organization’s public relations office said the permits were issued in coordination with its flight operations oversight office and air traffic control unit under the country’s airports and air navigation company.
Officials said the authorizations were granted to expand and facilitate the activities of foreign carriers using Iranian airspace. The decision came within the framework of consultations with Oman, according to the statement.
Both airlines are expected to continue scheduled operations after receiving the required approvals. No further details on route frequencies or specific destinations were immediately available.
