BAGHDAD, Iraq โ A fire that broke out in a commercial building in central Baghdad on Sunday morning was extinguished by civil defense teams, officials said.
The blaze originated on the second floor of a three-story building located in Halani Square, according to the Civil Defense Directorate. The fire affected approximately 300 square meters of the building's second floor, which was used to store camera equipment and technical supplies.
Teams were quickly dispatched following the initial alert and contained the flames before they could spread to ground-floor shops or neighboring structures. Extinguishing and cooling operations were fully completed, the directorate reported.
No casualties or injuries were reported. Officials said the damage was limited to material losses.
