PARIS, France โ A Boeing 737 passenger jet operated by German airline Eurowings made an emergency landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on Friday after a steam leak was detected in the galley during a flight from Cologne, Germany, to the Spanish island of Mallorca. The aircraft was carrying 131 people, according to the airline.
Eurowings said the diversion to Charles de Gaulle was a precautionary measure. A company spokesperson said the safety of passengers and cabin crew was never compromised at any point during the incident.
The airline added that hotel accommodation and ground transportation were arranged for the travelers, and that rebooking onto alternative flights was offered. No further details on the cause of the leak were immediately available.
