An Egyptian court adjourned until August 16 a case in which actress Zina sought the arrest of actor Ahmed Ezz over unpaid financial obligations, after he completed the full payment of 570,000 Egyptian pounds to the caretaker of their twins. During the hearing at the Nasr City Family Court, Ezz's lawyers said he had previously paid 200,000 pounds and completed the remaining amount in court on Tuesday.
The payment came as part of a series of financial disputes between the two parties. Earlier, the court rejected Ezz's request to overturn an order requiring him to pay 30,000 pounds a month to the twins' caretaker. The Fifth Circuit Family Appeals Court also accepted his appeal to reduce the monthly alimony for the twins from 80,000 pounds to 60,000 pounds.
The case has moved closer to a final ruling following the latest payment. No further details on the adjourned hearing were immediately available.
